Dr. Ahmed Mousa is a well-rounded civil engineer with solid technical and managerial skills with more than 20 years of consulting experience. His industry engagements in several parts of the United States was a rare exposure to challenging problems and interdisciplinary experiences including hands-on geotechnical solutions and deliverables for mega and infrastructure projects including oil farms, earth dams, flood control dams, pump stations , wind farms, interstates and residential and commercial developments. The interpersonal skills he acquired over the course of those consulting encounters have further polished my technical knowledge and allowed for a business utilization of technicalities. The more recent academic dimension of his career is a complementary venue to relay industrial experience as a professional engineer through teaching and research. Lessons learned from the latter should be a transferable asset for handling more complex projects that may require unusual solutions. He is a Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of California as well as Registered Civil Engineer in Malaysia and Certified project manager (CPM). Dr. Mousa is an active researcher with interests span a range of areas including the fundamentals of soil behavior, georisk and forensic geotechnical engineering, and sustainable construction with more than 25 journal and conference papers.
